The Stock and Sector Setups has been designed to highlight certain strong and weak sectors, and to identify individual stock candidates in potential breakout/breakdown mode or simply pulling back to desirable entry points.  This report is designed to be educational in nature as we are not registered investment advisors and are not responsible for future performance of the sectors or individual stocks covered.  These sectors and stock candidates are being presented for your consideration only.  Investors use different trading strategies and have distinct risk tolerance levels.  Accordingly, we will not be tracking these setups.  As always, we encourage you to contact us via our radio shows or chat room so that we may provide up-to-date technical analysis on any sectors or stocks where questions arise.

PLEASE NOTE (ON THE RUN RATE):

When we talk about average volume, we are talking about how many shares are traded in an individual stock on a daily basis over a period of time, usually 90 days. When we talk about volume run rate, we are talking about how the volume of the stock is trading on a particular date in relation to the average volume. For example, if a stock trades on average 1 million shares a day, and there are 6.5 hours in a trading day, then the average hourly shares traded would be roughly 153,850. Thus, if you were trying to determine if a stock was having a small, average or large volume day, you can see how much time has elapsed while the market is open and the number of shares that have traded during that period of time. This will give you a good feel for the pace a stock is on for a particular day. Also remember that it is not uncommon for more shares to be traded between the first and last hours of the trading day, so take that into consideration as you try to determine the pace a stock is on for a particular day.
