How we grade

Grades are given for all weekend Stock Setups. These are the setups that our members are paying for, so it made the most sense to put our money where our mouth is. Each setup is graded from A-F, and then we assign a grade to the week as a whole.

Grades are based on performance from Friday-Friday. That is, where did the stock close on the Friday before we featured it and where did it close the Friday after we featured it. Because the bulk of our candidates are short term in nature, we decided this was a good time frame to view them in.

Because each setup is going to be a different scenario, there's no common formula. Each setup we put out comes with a detailed analysis of why we like that particular play, including important support, resistance and possible entry points. Some setups might be contingent on a pullback to a certain point, some might be playable at a wider range. We base our grade on how the stock performs relative to the analysis we've provided, as well as in relation to the movement of the market as a whole. A stock that's flat when the market is down might get a better grade, and a stock that is flat when the market is up will get docked some points.

We're our own biggest critics. This is not a perfect science. Because there is some objective reasoning going into each grade, our view may differ from yours, but our main goal is to be honest! We'll never tell you we've hit 100 home runs in a row, and we're going to strike out once in a while, but we hope that as time goes on, our performance will speak for itself.
